This episode of our podcast shares the Spanish-only reading of one of our stories published in the October 2021 issue of The Future of Cancer, where we report on early detection programs for breast, colorectal, prostate, and cervical cancer.
The report we read is called ‘What is needed to get a mammogram in Costa Rica?’, written by photojournalist Mónica Quesada Cordero, published on October 8, 2021. In this report, Mónica presents how a public-private partnership is contributing to the implementation of an organized breast cancer screening program that the Costa Rican Social Security Fund seeks to convert into a population screening program to detect cases of this cancer in time and continue to reduce mortality.
