Podcast in English: How Costa Rica transformed the way it assesses its English students

A report in English by photojournalist Mónica Quesada Cordero, published in El Colectivo 506’s “Bilingual by 2024” edition of July 2022. The story describes how in order for Costa Rica to reach its goal of achieving a bilingual population, Ministry of Education and University of Costa Rica united forces to create a test system that will allow a clear understanding of students needs and strengths in English as a second language. It has been one of the biggest challenges in the process. In fact, the countries efforts on this point are a success story in progress.
